Manually transferring our creature model from Zbrush to Modo. The creature mode is for a scifi indie film. It has multiple displacement maps and this video explains a common method of layout and transfer settings.
For UV space U is vertical direction and V is horizontal. If you know XYZ orientattion it's basically the same only in UV space. This also makes sense when you realize that when people talk about UVW space the W is volumetric so it's the same as Z adding depth, in the 3rd dimension to XYZ.
